Cerebral Cortex Speed-Dating takes place inside the mind of Alex, a twelve-year-old youth who is searching for a role model. It’s designed to help figure out some of what’s important to you (and the other players) while having fun. Players portray Alex’s current list of favorite characters, who spend a little time meeting and interviewing each other. The most popular one(s) will emerge as the favored role model by the end of the game.

This game was originally written for my talk on Alchemical Gaming, at Living Games Conference 2018. While it's appropriate for players of any experience level, it's designed for beginners to live-action role-playing or deliberately transformative roleplay. (My parents and their friends still may not  understand what larp is, but they were able to play and enjoy this game anyway.)

Whose Deity Is It Anyway? is an alternate, ritual version of the game about a young polytheist or pagan choosing an occult role model. It was developed for Greater Pittsburgh Pagan Pride Day 2018 and updated for Folklore Jam 2024.
